Reflection

What inspired you to choose the specific design elements and layout for your blog?

  • As an avid user of instagram, I feel like the way they have their media setup it is easy for other users to get engaged with a creator’s content. They have a cool feature where at the top of the page you can create “stories” and put them into specific categories at the top of the page. This can help the “followers” see if they have anything in common with the other media being shared as posts.

How do you envision your blog’s visual aesthetics contributing to the overall user experience and engagement?

  • Since my blog will be a green and pink color scheme, the overall vibe will be calming. Every other post will be rotating between either a shade of green or pink so that way the posts don’t just mush together as one. I feel like green and pink are pretty common “favorite colors” as well, so it will attract people from that aspect as well.

In what ways does the chosen design align with the content and theme of your blog, and how might it enhance or complement the message you want to convey to your audience?

  • The design of the page will help with my blog because it overall won’t seem like an actual blog itself. Since it is technically a social media page, other bloggers will reach out and find my content. The pictures I would post would most likely be a positive message I like or of something that mainly has the specific colors I want to portray. With the help of posts having captions, it’s like I am putting messages on a message board, letting people read what I did, have to say about a topic, etc. I also like that others will be able to comment underneath posts they relate to, or have questions about and that way I could respond to them.
